1. Who We Are

LeapKids (“we”, “our”, “us”) is an English language learning platform for Vietnamese children aged 0–11, operated from the United States. Contact us at admin@leapkids.com.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following information:

Parent account: email address, hashed password, consent timestamp
Child profile: first name, date of birth, learning wing
Learning data: lesson history, star count, streak count, lesson cycle
Usage data: lesson started/completed events for platform improvement

We do not collect audio recordings. Speech evaluation is processed entirely in your browser and never sent to our servers.

3. Children's Privacy (Vietnam Decree 13)

We comply with Vietnam's Decree 13/2023/ND-CP on personal data protection. Child data is only collected after explicit, recorded parental consent during registration.

A parent or legal guardian must create the account
Child data is associated only with the parent account
We do not share child data with third parties
Parents can request deletion of all data at any time

4. How We Use Data

To deliver the lesson experience and track progress
To improve lesson quality and AI generation
To send password reset emails when requested
We do not sell data to advertisers

5. Data Storage

Data is stored on Railway (US West) and Cloudflare R2 (Asia-Pacific region for audio files). All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access all data we hold about you and your child
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and all associated data
Withdraw consent at any time

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies for authentication (JWT tokens stored in browser localStorage). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We will notify registered parents by email of any material changes to this policy at least 14 days before they take effect.
